Engagement sessions are the perfect opportunity to get to know a couple before their big day while getting some unforgettable shots of the unique season in between girlfriend and boyfriend and husband and wife! Getting to photograph Rachel and Alan’s shoot was nothing short of a dream. With their easygoing, fun loving dynamic and love of the outdoors, they brought a sweet, relaxed atmosphere to the shoot all their own. If they seem totally at ease together it’s because they’ve had a ton of practice! High school sweethearts, they’re getting ready to tie the knot after seven years together. Who knew that two sixteen year olds bonding over a shared love of cats on Facebook would turn into a forever love story?

We took this fall engagement session to the picturesque Bernheim Forest in Clermont, Kentucky. Alan and Rachel seemed totally at home twirling together in the tall, swaying grass and cuddled up on a bed of autumn leaves. The warm tones of fall in full bloom highlighted the soft glow of orange backdropped in the trees. Rachel and Alan exchanged happy smiles and sweet kisses all afternoon, turning this dreamy outdoor engagement session into an unforgettable glimpse into their love story!
