MARSHALL WEDDING | LA GRANGE RAILROAD MUSEUM | LA GRANGE KENTUCKY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Steve and Malanie said ‘I do’ on a late August evening. After meeting in December 2019 through church, the couple hit it off right away and soon knew they were ready to take the next step. Steve proposed spontaneously, feeling God confirm that Malanie was the one for him!

I had connected with Malanie’s mom while I was in school at Ivy Tech where she was the visual communications director. After following my work for several years, she recommended my photography to Malanie for the wedding and I’m so happy she did!

They kept things on the simple side, choosing to forgo bridesmaids and groomsmen in favor of celebrating the blending of their families. Their ceremony was sprinkled with personal touches including a sand ceremony that Steve’s grown kids participated in and an original song written and performed by Steve. Without too many other details, the focus was able to stay on the joy of family and the ushering in of a new season.

Afterwards, we snuck away for some bridal shots, exploring the gorgeous LaGrange Railroad Museum and enjoying capturing some fun moments. It was important to Malanie and Steve to savor the memory of such a special day by capturing the fullness of their joy in photos!

The reception was held in one of the museum's box cars with colorful florals, flowing conversation, and shimmering lights to set the tone. From the happy sunflowers to the focus on family, everything about Steve and Malanie’s wedding day was just as they dreamed!
