CHRISTINA + MATTHEW | ENGAGEMENT SESSION | CLARK STATE FOREST
What happens when love at first sight takes a couple of times to ring true? I have a lot of couples tell me they met previously in their lives but it took a second or third reunion to realize it was love. That was exactly the case with Christina and Mathew. These two originally met in a 7th grade English class. While they maintained "crush" status for a couple of years, flirtation during band class faded and after high school they lost touch completely.
It wasn't until mutual friends invited them to the same party after college that their lives collided again. They hit it off right away the second time around and officially started dating in May of 2015. I am convinced that sometimes love takes a couple of times to stick. Either one person or both aren't quite ready or simply their lives aren't ready for love yet.
Now, after 5 years of dating, Christina and Mathew are more ready than ever to take the next step toward their future together. After a practical yet romantic engagement before their trip to Italy, they made plans to tie the knot!
Luckily for me, that is where I entered their story. I had the chance to meet Christina and Mathew during their engagement session and witness their patience and admiration for each other. They were great to work with and they even brought their dog to include in a couple of the photos! I like when my clients bring pieces of their lives together into my sessions with them. Being comfortable and natural can be hard when you are in front of a camera but these two made every effort to put their nerves at ease! We had a fantastic photo session!
