HUNTER + ALEXIS | PURRFECT DAY PROPOSAL | LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHER
If there was ever a proposal that was after my own heart, it would have to be this one! Hunter contacted me several months ago about shooting his proposal to his girlfriend.They were coming up here from Alabama for a concert and he wanted to propose while they were here. We emailed for several days trying to figure out the perfect place for him to propose. He finally mentioned a couple of cat cafes in Louisville. I immediately told him to stop looking. He had landed on the the greatest location ever because, much like me, they are cat people! We decided to use the Purrfect Day cat cafe as the location. I went to check out the location in person before the photo shoot and they have a huge kitten room full of windows with between 10-15 kittens at any time. It was the perfect place for him to propose!
On the day of the proposal, I got there early and waited for them to get there while trying to act natural and not draw too much attention to myself. When they arrived, they were immediately engrossed with cats and so I started taking random photos of the room and all the kittens. Finally, I asked Alexis if she minded posing for a photo with a kitten for the Cafe’s social media page. She agreed and after I had taken a couple of photos, Hunter was ready to pop the question. When she turned around he was on one knee and she was in complete shock. After only a few moments she was able to catch her breath and let out a thrilled "yes!"
The whole surprise turned out great! All his preparation paid off and she definitely didn't see it coming! I’m hoping they decided to adopt the kitten who Alexis was holding as he popped the question! It was a wonderful day for a proposal!
