These two were brought together by a blast from the past and I am so happy they were! It's funny how sometimes you meet people throughout the course of your life and at the time have no idea just how important they will be to your future. Kaitlyn and Mark are one of those couples. Their meeting in the past set the stage for something wonderful but their love for each other caught fire in the present. I enjoyed learning about their story and about all the wonderful elements that brought them together as a couple.
One of my favorite elements from this engagement session was the addition of Mark's hat and jacket. This particular hat and jacket weren't just personal items of his but they were part of their love story and of who Mark is as an individual. Mark is a firefighter and Kaitlyn is a teacher. It was so much fun to see Kaitlyn and Mark work with these real life props that told such a wonderful story all on their own. Personalized items like this help catalog things that were going on at this moment in time like a snapshot of their lives together as a whole.
The name on the back of Mark's jacket was also an added detail that shined in these photos! Soon these two will share that last name and everything that goes along with it. Mark and Kaitlyn have such a sweet love for each other and I was so happy to be able to capture their engagement and save the date photos! I can't wait to see all the future has in store for these two including a summer wedding at Mellwood Arts Center here in Louisville, Kentucky.
