AMY + BLAKE | MATERNITY SESSION

Maternity sessions are always special, in my opinion. Documenting moments or pride and anticipation make photographs explode with emotion. This maternity session was particularly unique because of Amy and Blake’s journey as a couple.  Amy displayed her enthusiasm during each step of the planning process from picking out her gorgeous dress to deciding which features we would take advantage of at Deam Lake. All of the expecting parents I have photographed have been happy but there was a different level of excitement and appreciation during this session. After getting married earlier this year, they both had the understanding that having a baby would be very difficult to impossible. 

However, after only months of marriage, they were pleasantly surprised with the news a baby would be entering their lives in just 9 short months. Amy was glowing during this photo session as Blake provided stability and support as they waded through the lake water. Amy was thrilled for the opportunity to get her feet wet on such a hot summer day! Pregnancy symptom number one for Amy was virtually not an issue during this session because we took our time, enjoyed the water and made sure to document these beautiful moments between her and her husband. 

I could not be happier for these two and their little one on the way! I know they were thrilled when surprising their families with the news and I hope these photos will provide them with a lifetime of evidence of their joy and anticipation for their little one! I am sure the delivery room will be buzzing as they find out the gender of their new addition!
