Haley and Dakota’s engagement session at Krohn Conservatory was the perfect reflection of their relationship. Relaxed. Joyful. Completely in sync.
The conservatory was an especially meaningful location for them. The desert elements inside Krohn Conservatory reminded them of Sedona, where Dakota proposed. Choosing a greenhouse filled with desert textures and warm tones tied their story together in such an intentional way.
If you’re looking for a unique engagement session location, Krohn Conservatory offers something different from the typical outdoor park setting. The natural light, lush greenery, and desert room create a variety of backdrops all in one place. It allows couples to move naturally without worrying about weather, while still feeling like they’re somewhere special.
From the moment we started, Haley and Dakota were completely at ease. Some couples take a little time to warm up in front of the camera. These two did not. They laughed easily, leaned into each other naturally, and moved through the conservatory like they were the only two people there.
One of the things I noticed most was how protective and attentive Dakota was with Haley. It showed up in the small moments. The way he guided her through pathways. The quiet smiles between posed shots. Even when we shifted into more serious portraits, they couldn’t hold back the laughter for long. Almost every composed moment ended with a smile or a quick kiss.
That’s my favorite kind of session. When couples forget about the camera and just focus on each other.
Their relationship has already been built through years of shared memories, distance, letters back and forth, and time spent side by side. This engagement session at Krohn Conservatory felt like a celebration of everything that’s brought them here so far.
I’m so grateful I got to document this season for them. It’s always an honor to capture a chapter that represents not just where a couple is going, but everything they’ve already walked through together.
If you’re considering a Krohn Conservatory engagement session and want something that feels natural, connected, and true to you, I would love to help bring that vision to life.
