Colorful Huber’s Orchard Wedding | Emily & Chris

Emily and Chris’s colorful Huber’s Orchard wedding in Starlight, Indiana was a joyful, airy celebration filled with love, florals, and the sweetest moments. As their photographer, I loved capturing every part of their vibrant garden-party-inspired day, from first look tears to heirloom gifts passed down.

Before the wedding, I also had the chance to photograph their engagement session. From the start, it was clear how naturally they connect. Their easy laughter, warmth, and genuine energy made the session a joy, and that same spirit carried through beautifully on their wedding day.

Getting Ready and Sentimental Details

Emily got ready at a charming Airbnb in New Albany, surrounded by her bridesmaids and family. One of the most emotional parts of the morning came when her mom gifted her special heirloom jewelry. It was incredibly meaningful for them both. Emily wore a stunning gown by Sophia Tolli from House of K, while her bridesmaids looked lovely in dusty pink dresses from Azazie and Birdy Grey. The overall aesthetic was soft, romantic, and bursting with joyful energy.

First Look in the Still House

Before the ceremony, Emily and Chris shared a first look in the rustic Still House at Huber’s. They read private letters to one another in that quiet moment, giving themselves space to soak in the excitement and connection before the rest of the day unfolded. As someone who witnesses a lot of first looks, theirs stood out. It was emotional, grounded, and full of love.

Ceremony at Huber’s Orchard & Winery

The outdoor ceremony space at Huber’s was the perfect setting for their celebration. Southern Indiana in spring was in full bloom, and the garden-party feel came to life with colorful florals by Lloyd’s Florist. The couple chose Huber’s not just for its beautiful backdrop, but because it felt like them. Classic, welcoming, and connected to the region they love.

Portraits and Celebration

After the ceremony, we captured portraits around the vineyard and grounds. The spring light, pops of color, and Emily and Chris’s calm joy made every shot feel effortless. Their chemistry, combined with the floral-forward aesthetic and airy atmosphere, created such a dreamy look on camera.

A Joyful Reception at Huber’s

From the start of their reception, the vibe was light, celebratory, and full of laughter. With catering provided by Huber’s Orchard & Winery and cake from Sandy’s Custom Cakes, guests enjoyed a relaxed and delicious meal. The dance floor stayed packed thanks to Harold Mahan Productions, and everywhere you looked, flowers. Lloyd’s Florist truly brought the garden party vision to life.

Behind the Scenes

I first met Emily and Chris at the Huber’s bridal show. What stood out to them about my work was the emotion in the photos. The ability to capture moments that feel as real as they are beautiful. Emily is incredibly organized and detail-oriented, so providing timeline guidance and a smooth experience was a priority. I loved collaborating with a couple who put so much care into every part of their day.
