Some sessions feel a little extra special, and this one definitely did.
I first met Allie through weddings at Huber’s Orchard & Winery where she worked as the wedding coordinator. Over time we got to know each other through many wedding days there, and I eventually had the chance to photograph Allie’s own wedding.
So getting the opportunity to photograph her maternity session felt like a really meaningful full-circle moment.
A Tree Farm Setting
For their maternity session, we met at the Christmas tree farm on their family’s property. The rows of evergreen trees created such a peaceful and beautiful backdrop, and it felt like the perfect setting to document this season of their lives.
Tree farms have a quiet charm that works beautifully for portraits. The repeating lines of the trees, the soft natural light, and the open space create a setting that feels both simple and timeless.
Celebrating a New Chapter
Maternity sessions always carry a sense of anticipation. There is excitement, a little bit of nervous energy, and so much love already surrounding a baby who hasn’t even arrived yet.
Allie and Isaac were completely at ease together, which made the entire session feel relaxed and natural. We spent time walking through the trees, stopping in pockets of beautiful light, and capturing quiet moments between them as they prepare to become parents.
It is always an honor to photograph couples through different seasons of their lives. From their wedding day to this next chapter, being trusted to document those milestones is something I never take for granted.
I am so excited for Allie and Isaac as they begin this new adventure and cannot wait to meet their little one.
